Stromness Wanderings

Had a good day yesterday, Doc has told me to try walking to clear my head, so I took the bus to Stromness and walked from the pierhead to the golf club and back again. Had a wonder around the Pier Arts Centre but I'll leave my thoughts on that till I've been back again.

The light was very good yesterday and there was at least two other folk wondering around taking pictures.

Cats getting better, eating again and claimed hie seat on the sofa back!

Cats not eating, even bought a fancy tin of sheba but he only ate half!

Might need a visit to the vet if he doesn't improve tomorrow.

Missed photo's

Head is really sore today, when i eventually surfaced and it looked like it was a nice bright day, but by the time i got organised it had turned to rain! Hopefully my head will be a bit better by the time the snow comes.

No entry

Nothing much happening, got a couple of new filters for my camera but its not been weather to get out and play with them. Or when it has been weather i've not been feeling well :-(.

Did venture doon the toon this morning to try and take photo's of the chaos around the new bus station (refuse to call it travel centre, but thats another blog lol) and the one way signs. Was dissapointed though as the boring council have put up barriers to stop folk going the wrong way!

Going to try and tart up the blog over the next few days and add some links and things if my head allows.

Birds and coffee

Stopped at a little cafe just outside aviemore for a coffee and these birds seemed tame but any noise and they flew away. The owner of the cafe encourages the birds with food and they seemed very eccentric (the owners) but nice coffee !

This took a while to get right, I was playing with the macro settings on the camera.

Quite a nice photo, taken on holiday this year, near Aviemore. Its nice to be able to take photo's of trees, don't get much chance here in Orkney

Guess what direction the wind was blowing. I liked this photo because of the intensity of flames it almost looks like an oil well fire.

1st of my arty farty firework photo's. I forgot the tripod, my fingers were frozen and didn't get many good shots. So i am going to play around with picassa etc and see what i can make of them.

Insomnia

Not been very well lately, and because of all the drugs the doc has been giving me i can't sleep! I was lying in bed all sorts of weird and wonderful thoughts and ramblings running through my head and i had a brainwave. Believe me they have been few and far between recently, but i thought why not stop getting more and more frustrated and update my blog.

That was at 2am its now 4.30am...

Still wide awake still looking for all those thoughts.

Going to publish this blog now and then go and try and count the number of blogs out there with the title insomnia and the tags 'thoughts', 'ramblings', 'can't sleep'

That should get me back to sleep
